Betsy spent many years fronting Dr. Bob, a wild rockin power trio, playing bass and singing lead vocals. When she moved to Portland, OR it wasn’t long before she teamed up with song writing partner Harris Levon McRae to create Skyhouse Music, a folk rock reggae hiphop outfit that calls their unique genre of original music "Folk Hop" After years of success with Skyhouse, Harris and Betsy decided to branch out separately, while continuing the Skyhouse vision, to pursue new musical opportunities. After Skyhouse, Betsy started an acoustic duo writing and playing original folk rock Americana music with Dave Bongo Elizondo. After a successful run with their duo Twisted, a chance meeting with Tracey Graham and Mitch Ward led to an impromptu jam that was undeniably special and led her playing in the Macey Gard band which she still takes gigs with along with contributing her original music and performing in Juniper Rose.
Amy Jenkins's development of her Soulful Vocals is the result of a range of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family, her Grandfather attending Juilliard for voice and her exposure to music through her father, led her on a path of natural ability and musical interest. Placing in her first vocal competition at age of 11, following 3 years in Concert Choir gaining skills in singing German and Latin, Amy had her Television Debut at age 20 on Local Broadcasting. She is keen to point out that everything she listens to directs her musical development in some way. However, she would certainly include Chaka Khan, Bonnie Raítt , Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox as among her biggest influences. In recent years, Amy has fronted several Portland Oregon based bands such as The Tony Sinclair Band, Urban Funk Outfit. Juniper Rose will not only feature Amy's great lead vocals, but her amazing ear for harmonies and keeping the beat on Cajon and other percussion.
